Ohio State Wins Five Events and Sets Program Record at Stan Scott Invite

The Buckeyes set a men’s 4x400m program record and captured wins in five events.
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State track and field team competed at the Stan Scott Invite in Lubbock, Texas on Friday.
Noah Carmichael, Mason Louis, Edidiong Udo and Damon Frabotta recorded a program record in the men's 4x400m relay with a time of 3:04.21 during the team's last event of the day. The previous record of 3:05.09 was set by Asa Burke, Nick Gray, Drelan Bramwell and Andre Jeff at the 2018 Big Ten Indoor Track and Field Championships.
In addition to the record-breaking performance, the Buckeyes took home four individual event wins and a relay win in the women's 4x400m from Michaela McCall, Tatum Lynn, Tianna Spinks and Laila Campbell. Carmichael won the men's 400m with a time of 46.74, while Kyler Brown picked up a win in the men's 200m with a time of 20.85. In the women's 600-yard race, Naomi Clarke was victorious after crossing the line in 1:19.85. DJ Fillmore won his second men's long jump competition of the year after jumping for 7.64m/25'0.75" on his first attempt of the day.

The Buckeyes will be back in action next weekend, competing at both the PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational in Louisville, Ky. and the Meyo Invitational in South Bend, Ind.

- Men's 60m: The Buckeyes sent three athletes to the event finals, with Nazzio John (6.68) placing fourth while Marcus Brown Jr. (6.71) and Dominic Calhoun (6.74) both recorded PR's and placed fifth and sixth, respectively.
- Men's 60m hurdles: Braxton Brann recorded a personal best time and improved his standing as the third-fastest individual in program history in the event with a time of 7.66 in the event finals (second).
- Women's 200m: Campbell finished in fifth place with a time of 23.77.
- Men's 200m: Ohio State had four athletes in the top five of the event, highlighted by Brown winning with a time of 20.85. Nick Biega (21.08) came in third, Calhoun (21.15) placed fourth and Brown Jr. (21.18) finished fifth.
- Men's 400m: Carmicheal won the event with a 46.74 and Louis recorded a personal best 46.78 and placed second.
- Women's 600y: Naomi Clarke secured a win with a time of 1:19.86 while Avery Clark finished second (1:24.49).
- Men's 600y: Udo claimed second place with a time of 1:08.90 and Lucas Tornstrom came in fifth with a time of 1:10.66.
- Women's 4x400m relay: McCall, Lynn, Spinks and Campbell won the event with a 3:37.23, while the team consisting of Kiara Webb, Clarke, Sydney Bryant and Callia Harris recorded a time of 3:45.38 and placed fourth.
- Men's 4x400m relay: Carmichael, Louis, Udo and Frabotta set a program record with a time of 3:04.21 and finished second.
Field Top Performers
- Men's long jump: Fillmore secured first place after recording a mark of 7.64m/25'0.75" on his first attempt. Victor Tornstrom recorded a best mark of 7.42m/24'4.25" and finished third.
- Women's long jump: Sydney Burr finished fifth in the event after registering a 5.78m/18'11.75" attempt.
- Women's pole vault: Sophie Fong claimed second after clearing 3.91m/12'10.00".
- Men's high jump: Sean Kaminski (2.10m/6'10.75") placed second, Devin Jordan (2.05m/6'8.75") placed third and Sopuluchi Anosike (2.00m/6'6.75) came in fourth.
