Buckeyes Conclude Competition at Day Two of Indiana Invitational

The Buckeyes had 11 athletes finish in the top five of various events on the second day of the meet.
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State track and field team competed at the Indiana Invitational, hosted by the University of Indiana in Bloomington, Ind., this weekend.
Aniya Mosley continued her impressive start to the indoor season, winning the women's one mile race with a time of 4:40.62. The time is a personal best for Mosley and ranks as the third best time in school history. The senior started the season by setting a program record (2:42.87) in the women's 1000m at the Rod McCravy Memorial and earned Big Ten Female Track Athlete of the Week honors for her performance.
Marcus Brown also impressed in the men's 300m, earning a second-place finish and a personal record. The junior's time of 33.98 is the third best by a Buckeye this season. In the women's shot put, Morgan Hallett recorded a 14.68m/48'02.00 and a PR while placing third in the event.
The Buckeyes will be back in action Friday at the Stan Scott Invite in Lubbock, Texas.

Saturday, January 17
- Women's 300m: Kiara Webb (39.164) and Callia Harris (39.164) crossed the line one thousandth of a second apart, securing fourth and fifth place finishes.
- Men's 300m: Brown placed second and set a PR with a time of 33.98.
- Women's 800m: Sydney Stevenson recorded a season best time of 2:14.67, placing fourth.
- Men's 800m: Jaxson Eckert registered a time of 1:52.29 and a third-place finish.
- Women's 1 Mile: Mosley won the event and earned a PR with a 4:40.62.
- Women's 3000m: Audrey DeSantis (9:47.29) claimed a fourth-place finish and earned a PR.
- Men's 3000m: Weston Day ran an 8:14.65 and secured a fourth-place finish.
Friday, January 16
- Women's 60m Hurdles: Katie Ruffener (8.70) and Noa Smith (8.71) both competed in the finals of the event, where Ruffener recorded a season best and Smith set a PR.
- Men's 60m: Brown (6.76), Dominic Calhoun (6.77) and Tobiloba Oniyide (6.91) all competed in the event finals after qualifying in the prelims.
- Women's 200m: Callia Harris claimed a fourth-place finish with a time of 24.43.
- Men's 600m: Eckert recorded a time of 1:21.01 and finished sixth, while freshman Lucas Tornstrom ran a 1:21.22 and placed seventh in his first collegiate meet.
- Women's 600m: Avery Clark secured a third-place finish and a new PR with a time of 1:31.62, while Naomi Clarke finished fourth and claimed a PR of her own with a 1:31.94.

- Men's Shot Put: Freshman Brandt Morlock finished fourth and earned a PR with a 16.57m/54'04.50.
- Women's Shot Put: Hallett (14.68m/48'02.00) claimed third place and a PR.
- Women's Triple Jump: Morgan Bridges recorded a 12.29m/40'04.00 jump and landed in third place.
Friday, January 16
- Women's Weight Throw: Sophie Bidwell recorded a season best 18.57m/60'11.25 on her second throw to earn a third-place finish.
- Women's Long Jump: Aaliyah Elliot placed second after registering a 5.85m/19'02.50 jump and Sydnee Burr placed fifth after recording a 5.52m/18'01.50
- Men's Pole Vault: Daniel Edwards finished tied for second with a 4.85m/15'11.00.
- Men's Long Jump: Brian Kellon recorded a 7.04m/23'1.25 on his third jump and finished in fifth.
