COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 2 Ohio State women's hockey team starts its month-long homestand this weekend with a two-game series against St. Thomas. The Buckeyes (21-6-3, 15-6-3 WCHA) and Tommies (8-18-2, 5-16-1 WCHA) face off at 6 p.m. Friday and 1 p.m. Saturday from the OSU Ice Rink.

Buckeyes in a Nutshell
- The Buckeyes are coming off a series split at No. 3 Minnesota last weekend. After falling 3-1 in game one, Ohio State rebounded with a 7-3 victory at Ridder Arena to remain tied with the Gophers for second in the WCHA standings.
- Ohio State closes the 2024-25 regular season with home games against St. Thomas (Feb. 7-8) and St. Cloud State (Feb. 21-22). After last weekend's series, the Buckeyes have secured home ice for the first round of the WCHA tournament and will host a best-of-three series Feb. 28-March 2.
- Joy Dunne leads the Buckeyes with 38 points in 30 games this season. She is four points shy of tying her career high of 42. The sophomore has a point in nine of the last 10 games for Ohio State and has recorded 11 multi-point games this season.
- Jocelyn Amos has scored a team-high 18 goals on the year. She also leads the team with seven power play goals. Thirteen of her 36 points this season have come on the power play for the Buckeyes, a team-best mark. The sophomore is first in the league and second in the country in power play goals.
- Ohio State's offensive effort ranks third nationally with 113 goals and 186 assists for 299 points in 30 games played this season. Seventeen of the team's 18 skaters have recorded a point and 16 of the 17 have recorded a goal. The Buckeyes are fifth in the country with 3.77 goals per game.
- The team has three players - Dunne (38), Amos (36) and Jenna Buglioni (33) - who have hit the 30-point mark.
- Ohio State's power play ranks tenth in the country with a .244 conversion rate. But the unit has seen improvement over the last month with a .343 rate in the last 28, good for third nationally.
- The Buckeyes will be without freshman defender Mira Jungåker this weekend as she competed for the Swedish national team in the Women's Ice Hockey Final Olympic Qualification in Gavle, Sweden Feb. 6-9. Denmark, the Netherlands, Norway and host Sweden face off in the three-day tournament to decide the winner of Group H for one of three remaining spots in the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games. She is joined on the team by incoming Buckeyes Jenna Raunio and Hilda Svenson.
- Head coach Nadine Muzerall became Ohio State's all-time winningest coach this season. She has amassed a 216-79-22 record in nine seasons as the Buckeyes' head coach.
- The Buckeyes earned their 20th win of the season with a 4-1 victory over Minnesota State Jan. 25. The program has had a 20-plus win season in every full season under Muzerall. Prior to Muzerall's arrival, the program had just one 20-win season in 18 seasons.
- Ohio State went undefeated in non-conference play this season with a 6-0-0 record. The team earned ranked wins over Cornell and St. Lawrence and added victories against Stonehill and Mercyhurst.
- Graduate goaltender Amanda Thiele leads the goaltending unit with 19 starts in 20 games played this season for Ohio State. She has a 13-5-2 record on the year and has earned a .894 save percentage.
- Hailey MacLeod is on the HCA Women's Goalie of the Year watchlist. The junior from Abbotsford, B.C. has a 1.69 goals-against average and a .909 save percentage in 11 games played for the Buckeyes this season. She has earned a 7-1-1 record with three shutouts on the year.
- Six former Ohio State women's hockey players will skate for their national teams in the February games of the Rivalry Series between the United States and Canada. Jenn Gardiner, Sophie Jaques and Emma Maltais will skate for Canada while Cayla Barnes, Hannah Bilka and Clair DeGeorge will play for the United States. The teams will face off at 6 p.m. ET Thursday and Saturday on NHL Network.
- Ohio State is 14-0-0 against St. Thomas in the all-time series.
- The Buckeyes were the Tommies' first opponent after their jump to Division I ahead of the 2021-22 season.
- The teams met in Mendota Heights, Minn. in November, with Ohio State winning game one, 5-0, and taking a 1-0 overtime win in game two.
