COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State is back in the NCAA Tournament for the sixth consecutive season and the 19th time in program history. The Buckeyes will take on Georgia in the opening round on Friday afternoon in Athens. Kickoff will be at 3 p.m. and will be streamed live on ESPN+.
- The Buckeyes are 16-17-2 in 35 NCAA Tournament matches, all of which have come under head coach Lori Walker-Hock.
- Friday's match against Georgia will be the first meeting all-time between the two programs. The Buckeyes are 2-1 all-time against SEC teams in the NCAA Tournament, beating Tennessee in 2011, losing to Kentucky in 2013 and then beating Auburn 2-1 last year.
- This year against the SEC, Ohio State fell 1-0 at South Carolina in August and then won 2-0 at Kentucky in September.
- All-time, the Buckeyes are 12-14-4 against teams currently in the SEC.
- Ohio State has not played since Oct. 30, when it fell 1-0 to Illinois in the opening round of the Big Ten Tournament.
- The Buckeyes have surrendered just 11 goals all season and is in the Top 15 nationally in both goals-against average and save percentage. The program record for fewest goals allowed in a season in 13.
- Senior goalkeeper Molly Pritchard was named the Big Ten Goalkeeper of the Year as she is seventh in the country with a .492 goals-against average. She also earned first team All-Big Ten honors for the first time in her career.
- Fellow senior captain Mirann Gacioch also earned her first All-Big Ten first team honors this season. Gacioch is the only player on the team to have played the full 90 in every match this season.
- Junior Amanda Schlueter leads the team offensively with eight goals and four assists for 20 points. Her and junior midfielder Ava Bramblett both earned second team All-Big Ten accolades.
- Georgia was 10-4-6 on the season and 6-1-3 in SEC play, reaching the semifinals of the SEC Tournament before losing to eventual champion Vanderbilt.
