
Fall Schedule Continues at Louisville and Miami

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State softball team will hit the road to finish out this week, continuing its fall schedule with a 10-inning contest against the Louisville Cardinals on Thursday followed by a contest with the Miami Redhawks in Oxford.

The Charity Classic in Review
The Buckeyes are fresh off a successful series against Cuyahoga Community College and their 24th annual Charity Classic, competing in a total of five games over the weekend. Ohio State enjoyed two wins over Tri-C. In the Charity Classic, the Buckeyes took wins over Tiffin, Wittenberg and Ohio Dominican. Ohio State, which set a Big Ten record in single-season home runs last season, got back to their slugging ways with home runs off the bats of Sami Bewick, Skylar Limon, Abbie Wilhelm, Hadley Parisien, Taylor Cruse and Hailey Lang.
Familiar Matchups
Thursday's contest against the RedHawks will be a rematch of a win-or-go-home game in the NCAA Tournament's Knoxville Regional, one where Ohio State took an 11-1 run rule victory to stay alive and face Tennessee for the chance to advance to the Super Regional.
Miami enters competition coming off a 36-26 record last season, taking a MAC tournament title and an NCAA tournament bid. Louisville posted a 26-25 record last season, finishing 10th in the ACC.
