COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State men’s golf team will play its third of four fall events this week at the Windon Memorial Classic at the Knollwood Club in Lake Forest, Ill. The 54-hole event will start with a 9:30 a.m. ET shotgun start on Monday and the final round will begin with tee times at 9 a.m. ET on Tuesday.
- Ohio State’s lineup this week will Joe Wilson IV, Tyler Sabo, Vaughn Harber, Finley Bartlett and Giedrius Mackelis. Jaime Yzaga will play as an individual this week.
- The Buckeyes are coming off a third-place finish at the Windon Memorial Classic last month in Illinois.
- Sabo, Harber and Wilson IV all have a Top 20 finish this fall and at the top three on the team in scoring average through three events. Sabo had a career-best 65 in the final round of the Windon Memorial while Wilson IV finished with a 67 and Harber had a 69.
- Bartlett and Yzaga will be making their collegiate debuts this week. Bartlett is a true freshman from Cincinnati, Ohio while Yzaga is in his second season with the program after redshirting last year.
- Mackelis is playing in his third event. He finished under-par for the first time in his career last time out at the Windon Memorial, carding rounds of 72-69-74 (-1).
- The weather this week will be similar to how it’s been all fall in Ohio. Perfect conditions with temperatures in the mid-70s.
