Vojtko Fires 69 as Buckeyes Remain in Contention at Inverness Intercollegiate

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State remained in the hunt near the top of the leaderboard after the second round of the Inverness Intercollegiate on Monday. The Buckeyes are in sixth place at 15-over par.
Senior Jack Vojtko paced the Buckeyes with a 2-under 69, notching Ohio State's low round of the day. Vojtko made four birdies, including three on the front nine, and played his final 12 holes at 4-under par. After opening the tournament with a 75, he climbed into a tie for 12th place at 2-over par through 36 holes. The round marked Vojtko's second score in the 60s this season after posting a final-round 68 at the Folds of Honor Collegiate.
Fifth-year Tyler Sabo is also tied for 12th after carding a 3-over 74 on Monday. Sabo followed his opening-round 70 with three birdies during the second round and sits at 2-over par for the tournament.
Sophomore Giedrius Mackelis added a 4-over 75 and is tied for 20th at 3-over par. Mackelis birdied the first hole and closed with 12 consecutive holes at even par or better after a double bogey on the 13th.
Fifth-year Joe Wilson IV recorded a 3-over 74, highlighted by birdies on holes 10 and 17. Wilson is tied for 76th at 12-over par. Junior Vaughn Harber, who opened the season with a fourth-place finish at the Folds of Honor Collegiate, shot a 6-over 77 and is tied for 69th at 11-over for the tournament.
The Buckeyes begin the final round at 10:40 a.m. on Tuesday morning.
