COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 2 Ohio State women's hockey team picked up its third win in five days on Tuesday, defeating Mercyhurst, 5-1, at the Mercyhurst Ice Center in Erie, Pa.

The game was the conclusion of the home-and-home series between the Buckeyes (18-5-3, 12-5-3 WCHA) and Lakers (13-12-1, 8-4-0 CHA) this season. Ohio State swept the series, winning game one played in Columbus by the same score of 5-1, and improved to 6-4-0 in the all-time series.

Each Buckeye goal was scored by a different player, and nine players recorded a point in Tuesday's non-conference schedule finale.

Joy Dunne scored first with a power play goal at 15:18. Ohio State was awarded a penalty shot after a Mercyhurst skater was called for covering the puck in the crease at 18:16 and Jenna Buglioni capitalized on the opportunity to give Ohio State the 2-0 lead at the first intermission.

The Buckeyes added a third goal less than a minute into the second period from Kiara Zanon before Mercyhurst responded with its lone goal at 3:53 in the middle frame. Jordyn Petrie lit the lamp at 7:56 in the second to restore the Buckeyes' three goal lead.

Finishing the scoring for the game was Mira Jungåker, who recorded her first career goal at 8:22 in the third to put the final score at 5-1.

- Ohio State closes the regular season non-conference slate 6-0-0. Besides the wins over Mercyhurst, the team played ranked matchups against Cornell and St. Lawrence and added a win over Stonehill.
- Dunne extended her point streak to six games with a goal and an assist against Mercyhurst. Her two-point performance is her third in the six-game stretch.
- In addition to Dunne, Amos (2A) and Makenna Webster (2A) tallied two points in the game to lead the Buckeyes.
- Jungåker, a defender from Jönköping, Sweden, registered her first career goal in her eighth game as a Buckeye. She now has three points on the year with two assists earlier this month. Â
