Ohio State will close its stretch of three straight road games at No. 1 Northwestern Saturday
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women's lacrosse team fell in a nonconference game at Louisville, 22-10, Tuesday afternoon in UofL Lacrosse Stadium in Louisville, Ky.

The Buckeyes (7-6, 1-3 B1G) were down 4-2 after the first quarter and each team scored four times in the second for an 8-6 Louisville (7-8, 2-5 ACC) lead at the half. The Cardinals scored four of the first five goals in the second half to pull away and led 14-8 through three quarters. Louisville outscored the Buckeyes 8-2 in the fourth for the final.

Freshman Kampbell Stone had her first career hat trick to lead the Buckeyes, while her classmate Kate Tyack had two goals and an assist for three points and sophomore Zoe Coleman tallied twice. Jamie Lasda recorded a career-best 11 draw controls, tying for the fifth-most in a single game by a Buckeye.

- The Cardinals scored three of the game's first four goals. Kokoro Nakazawa opened the scoring at 10:47, answered by Buckeye Zoe Coleman 43 seconds later. Louisville notched the next two, at 9:15 and 7:07, for a 3-1 lead.
- Kampbell Stone tallied for the Buckeyes on a free position shot at 2:40 but a Cardinal score at 1:50 moved the Louisville lead back to two (4-2).
- In the second quarter, Stone's second of the day drew the Buckeyes within one (4-3) at 12:53, but back-to-back goals from the Cardinals moved the lead to 6-3 at 9:23.
- Ohio State tallied three of the next four. Stone finished her hat trick at 7:05. After a UofL tally at 5:53, Leah Sax and Kate Tyack scored at 4:49 and 3:43 to make it a one-goal game (7-6).
- A Louisville score with 2:04 on the clock was the last tally of the quarter, sending the teams into halftime with the Cards ahead, 8-6.
- The Cardinals outscored the Buckeyes 6-2 in the third quarter. Coleman, scoring from right in front assisted by Tyack, opened the scoring, for a 9-7 game. Louisville scored the next three to take a 12-7 lead at 10:47.
- Buckeye freshman Maeve Simonds converted a free position chance at 6:44 but the Cards tallied twice more before the end of the quarter to move their advantage to 14-8 at the break.
- Louisville notched eight of the 10 goals in the final quarter. The Cards scored the first two before Tyack tallied her second of the day at 11:38.
- A five-goal run for the Cardinals followed, ended by Buckeye Jamie Lasda at 2:39. Louisville notched the game's final goal in the last minute.
- The Buckeyes were outshot 31-16 in the game. Regan Alexander and Whitney Robinson combined for nine saves in the Ohio State cage and the UofL goalie made six stops.
- Ohio State had 19 of 35 draw controls in the game, led by Lasda with a career-high 11. Annie Hargraves had five for the Buckeyes, with Emily Magalotti recording three.
- Louisville had the advantage in ground balls, 12-4.
- Stone's hat trick was the first of her collegiate career and marked her third multiple-goal outing. It was a career-high three points and she now has 14 goals and 15 points on the year.
- Lasda leads the Buckeyes with 35 goals and 41 points and moved her career-long scoring streak to 19 games, with 46 goals, 18 assists and 64 points in the stretch. In her career, Lasda has 99 goals, 49 assists and 148 points in 55 games.
- Lasda has 24 draw controls in the last three games combined and is first on the team with a career-best 45 this year. It was the most draw controls for a Buckeye since Chloe Johnson had 11 at Johns Hopkins April 23, 2022.
- Tyack marked her fifth collegiate multiple-goal outing and she now has eight goals in her last three games combined. It was her fourth game with three or more points and she has 16 goals and 19 points this season.
- Coleman now has four two-goal games this season and seven as a Buckeye. She has a career-best 13 goals and 26 points this season, tying Sax for third in points.
- Sax is second on the team with 20 goals and tied for third with 26 points, with at least one point in 11 of 13 outings. Â
- Hargraves now has 37 draw controls on the year. It was her fourth game with five or more.
