Rosson Named Big Ten Co-Player of the Week

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Hunter Rosson has been named the Big Ten Co-Player of the Week, announced by the conference on Monday.
It is the first Big Ten weekly award of Rosson's career and he shares the honor catcher Connor Caskenette from Purdue.
Rosson had a phenomenal week for the Buckeyes, starting in the outfield against Wright State and at first base in two games against Michigan State. On the week, he batted an impressive .545 with six hits, six runs scored and 12 RBIs. Three of his six hits were home runs and he has gone yard in three straight games.
Against the Raiders, Rosson hit a grand slam to drive in four runs. He had a career-best game against the Spartans on Saturday, going 3-for-4 at the plate and driving in a career-high six runs. He was just a triple shy of hitting for the cycle. On Sunday against Michigan State, he added two more hits and two more RBIs.
Rosson leads the Buckeyes at the plate, batting .355 on the season. He has recorded 11 hits and 18 RBIs.
The Buckeyes are back in action with midweek games against Cincinnati on Tuesday and Akron on Wednesday at Bill Davis Stadium.
