The Buckeyes competed at the Bryan Clay Invitational and the Tom Jones Memorial Invitational on Friday.
BRYAN CLAY RESULTS | TOM JONES RESULTS
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State track & field team competed at the Bryan Clay Invitational and the Tom Jones Memorial Invitational on Friday.
Daniella Santos and Andrea Kuhn broke into the top-five in program history in the women's 5000m with their times at the Bryan Clay Invitational. Santos' 15:56.71 puts her third on the Buckeyes' all-time leaders list, while Kuhn's 15:57.72 finds her fifth.
BRYAN CLAY RESULTS
- 3000m steeplechase: Akemi Von Scherr (11:03.84) and Sydney Khosla (11:15.13) ran the lone Buckeye event on Thursday evening.
- Open B 5000m: Sydney Paul led the Buckeye women in the event with a time of 17:01.16.
- Open A 5000m: Zubin Jha was third (14:05.74) among 30 finishers in his heat.
- 800m invite: Carina Napoleon led the OSU women with a time of 2:09.29.
TOM JONES RESULTS
- Hammer throw: All three Buckeye men made the finals as Anthony Wilks finished fourth with a personal best (57.24m / 187'9"), Hayden Tobias was seventh with a PR (56.78m / 186'3") and Evan Johnson was eighth (56.39m / 185'0"). Marissa Henley led the Buckeye women with a best mark of 53.50m / 175'6".
- Long jump: DJ Fillmore led the OSU men by finishing as the runner-up (7.47m / 24'6.25"). On the women's side, Zamesha Myle's best mark was 5.55m / 18'2.5".
- 200m: Columba Effiong finished third on the women's side with a PR of 23.82.
- Shot put invite: Tobias finished fourth with a best throw of 19.72m / 64'8.5".
- Pole vault: Daniel Edwards cleared 4.83m / 15'10" on his first attempt to tie for ninth in the field.
- High jump: Sean Kaminski tied for 10th by clearing 1.99m / 6'6.25" on his first attempt.
- 200m invite: Leah Bertrand ran a 23.49 and won her heat despite running into the wind.
- 1500m: Gia Napoleon's time (4:27.52) was in the top half of a large women's 1500m field.
- 400m hurdles invite: Chanler Robinson finished in 58.35.
- High jump invite: Shaun Miller Jr. and Reign Winston both cleared 2.13m / 6'11.75" to finish fourth and fifth, respectively. Miller Jr. cleared that height on his first attempt.
