Ohio State Ties Match Versus Baylor on Day Two of THRC

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women's golf team tied its match versus Baylor, 2-2-1, on the second day of the Therese Hession Regional Challenge on Sunday.
After going back and forth through their first eight holes of play, Caley McGinty was 2UP on Rosie Belsham after the ninth hole of play and took a four-hole lead, her biggest of the match, two holes later. McGinty went on to win her match, 3&2.
Kary Hollenbaugh fell behind early in her match to Sera Hasegawa but won some key holes to tie things up after 11 holes of play. Hollenbaugh's opponent, however, regained her advantage and won the match, 3&2.
Faith Choi's match against Ashleen Kaur ended in a tie. After 10 holes, Choi was down by three. She won the next hole to cut her opponent Kaur's lead to two. Choi shot under par on the following two holes to tie the score and she and Kaur tied the final hole of play.
Kailie Vongsaga matched up with Yoonjeong Huh. Vonsaga and Huh went back and forth, with Vongsaga getting ahead by one twice during the first 13 holes of play, but the pair were tied through 14 holes. Huh took the lead on the 15th hole of play and went on to win 2&1.
Jillian Bourdage and her opponent, Silie Ohma, also had a back-and-forth match and were tied after 11 holes of competition. Ohma took the lead, but Bourdage tied things up on the 15th hole of play. Bourdage won the next two holes to earn the comeback 2&1 win.
Emily Hummer and Kavya Ajjarapu competed as individuals. Hummer fell in her match to No. 4 UCLA's Zoe Campos, 4&3, and Ajjarapu was defeated 4&3 by No. 1 Wake Forest's Anne-Sterre Den Dunnen.
Due to inclement weather, the remainder of the tournament was canceled. Hummer was the runner-up in the individuals' bracket. The Byckeyes went 1-1-1 overall in their matches.
