COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women's golf team heads back to Carlsbad, California for the second year in a row to compete in the NCAA Championship. This will be the Buckeyes' 24th NCAA Championship appearance in program history.Â

The tournament will begin with three rounds of stroke play Friday, May 22–Sunday, May 24. After Sunday's round, 30 teams will be cut down to 15. The top 15 will play one more round of stroke play on Monday, May 25, before the field is cut down to the top eight. Tuesday, May 26, and Wednesday, May 27 will feature match play to crown a team champion.Â

The championship lineup includes Matilde Santilli, Sophie Eppelstun, Marina Joyce-Moreno Nellie Ong, and Mandy Song. Joyce-Moreno will be carrying the Folds of Honor bag. Â

Last year, the Buckeyes tied for 24th place with a total of 21 birdies, and their 180 pars were seventh-best among the 30-team field. Kary Hollenbaugh advanced to the final round of stroke play and finished 34th individually.Â

Sophomore Nellie Ong has had a standout season, posting six Top 20 finishes in her 10 events. This year, 28 of her 30 rounds have counted towards the team score, the most on the team. She also made first team All-Big Ten this season.Â

Freshman Sophie Eppelstun has four Top 10 finishes, and 26 of her 27 rounds have counted towards the team's score, the best percentage on the team. She was named second team All-Big Ten honors and was named to the All-Freshman team.Â

Senior Kary Hollenbaugh was an All-American last season as she tied the program's single-season record with four victories. She has four Top 20 finishes this season. She was also selected as a 2026 ANNIKA Development Program Ambassador.Â

Freshman Matilde Santilli has finished 14th or better in each of the last four events she has played in, and has five Top 20 finishes overall on the season.Â

Sophomore Marina Joyce-Moreno has three Top 20 finishes this season alongside fellow sophomore Mandy Song, who has also recorded three Top 20 finishes this season.Â
