How the Buckeye Goals Were Scored
- Jocelyn Amos won a battle for the puck along the half boards in the Wisconsin zone and knocked it to Makenna Webster at the faceoff dot. Webster skated around a Badger and split two players in the slot, finishing above the blocker of Ava McNaughton.
- With seven seconds left on the Buckeyes' first power play of the game, Maddi Wheeler lined up in the faceoff circle left of McNaughton and sent a wrister towards the goal. The shot sailed through net front traffic into the net at 10:36.
- On Wisconsin's fourth power play of the game, the Buckeyes stopped a Badger zone entry at the blue line and Joy Dunne sent the puck to Kiara Zanon, who was all along at center ice with a clear path to goal. Zanon skated into Wisconsin territory and scored between the legs of McNaughton for the game-winning goal.
- Zanon's shorthanded goal is her first of the season and the team's fourth of the year.
- Amos led the team with two assists on the day. She was on the ice for all three of the team's goals scored on Saturday.
- Joy Dunne's point streak extends to nine games with an assist in the contest.
- The Buckeyes are now 7-1-0 against Wisconsin in the last four seasons at home.
- Ohio State's third line of Amos, Zanon and Webster accounted for two of the Buckeyes' three goals and four of the team's seven points in the game.
- Thiele's record improves to 8-2-1 on the year with the win over the Badgers.
