- The pitching staff consists of two veterans – Lexi Paulsen, a junior, and Kennedy Kay, a fourth-year junior – and three newcomers: freshmen Lorin Boutte, Kassandra Gewecke and Layna Gerhard.
- New head coach Kirin Kumar was 174-56-1 (.755) during her four seasons at Miami and won three MAC Tournament championships, four MAC regular season titles and led her team to the NCAA Tournament in each of the last four seasons.
- She brought with her two assistant coaches from Miami – Courtney Vierstra and Caitlyn Nolan – and also hired Matthew Guemmer, who spent the last two seasons as an assistant in the Big Ten at Rutgers University.
