Buckeyes to Play in Inaugural Las Vegas Baseball Classic

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State baseball team will play in the inaugural Las Vegas College Baseball Classic, hosted by Peak Events, LLC. In partnership with the Las Vegas Aviators, at Las Vegas Ballpark March 1-3, 2024.
The Buckeyes are slated to match up with Cal on Friday, March 1, Pitt on Saturday, March 2, and Oklahoma on Sunday, March 3. Ohio State played both Cal and Oklahoma as part of the Frisco Classic in Texas, also hosted by Peak Events, LLC., during the 2023 season. The Buckeyes were Frisco Classic champions, earning an 8-3 win over Mississippi State and a 12-9 victory over the Sooners.
"We could not be more excited to be working with the Las Vegas Aviators to bring premier early-season college baseball to Las Vegas Ballpark," said Nathan Wooldridge, Vice President of Peak Event. "The facility is unmatched, and Las Vegas is one of the top destination cities in the country. We look forward to seeing fans from all over come enjoy what we envision will become one of the best tournament experiences in all of college baseball."
The 2024 Classic will be the first of what is set to be an annual event at Las Vegas Ballpark, home of the Oakland A's' Triple A affiliate. The weekend tournament will have two games per day with each team playing the other, three times in a round robin format. Tickets are available on a "day" basis including both games played on the same day or as a weekend package in select seating sections which would include all six games played through the weekend. There are both reserved and general admission options available and tickets are available now at LasVegasCBC.com/tickets. Group and hospitality options are available by calling the Las Vegas Aviators at 702-943-7200.
