COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State track and field team competes at the Notre Dame Alex Wilson Invite on Saturday after Anavia Battle and Kentre Patterson travel to the Arkansas Qualifier on Friday. Both track and field events at Notre Dame are scheduled to begin at 11 a.m.
- The Ohio State women were ranked 14th in the latest USTFCCCA weekly poll on Monday.
- Aquilla remained on the Bowerman Watch List midway through the indoor season.
- Last weekend, the Buckeyes split squad to compete at the Clemson Tiger Paw and the Iowa State Classic.
- The Ohio State men dominated the 600m by running the four-fastest times of the race and the season for the Buckeye men with David Palmer earning his first victory of the season (1:10.74).
- Mary Figler won the first event for Ohio State on the weekend and her first of the season in the women’s 600m (1:21.02), beating the field by more than one second.
- The Buckeyes also posted four runner-up finishes last weekend spanning both track and field events – Adelaide Aquilla in the shot put (18.69m, further than the previous facility record), Aziza Ayoub in the 800m (2:06.25), Kashawn Baptiste in the 400m (47.65) and Alex Kenish in the 600m (1:11.03).
- Eight different OSU men have an individual win this season, plus a DMR win, while six different OSU women have recorded a win.
