After an infield pop out by Jacob Howell (Fr., Ashland, Ohio/Ashland), Scarlet starter Dan DeLucia (Fr., Columbus, Ohio/Bishop Watterson) walked Wes Schirtzinger (So., Westerville, Ohio/Westerville North) and ball four got past the catcher and went to the backstop allowing Moore to tie the game 1-1 on the wild pitch. Josh Newman (Sr., Wheelersburg, Ohio/Wheelersburg) relieved DeLucia and promptly picked off Schritzinger at first to end the inning.
Newman pitched the final 2 1/3 innings, allowing just one hit with one strikeout to pick up the win.
