Three Buckeyes Named to the All-Tournament Team at the 2000 Big Ten Baseball Tournament – Ohio State Buckeyes

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – %^$The Big Ten Conference has announced that Ohio State’s Trent McIlvain (Jr., Louisville, Ohio), Jason Turner (Sr, Verasailles, Ohio) and Nick Swisher (Fr., Parkersburg, W.Va.) have been named to the all-tournament team for the 2000 Big Ten Baseball tournament.%^$
%^$In four games at the tournament, McIlvain led the Buckeyes with a .533 batting average (8-for-15) and was spectacular defensively at shortstop for OSU.%^$
%^$Rightfielder Turner belted home runs in three of OSU’s four tournament games. The three home runs led the tournament and he also led OSU with six runs batted in.%^$
%^$First baseman Swisher batted .308 (4-for-13) with one home run and four runs batted in.%^$
%^$As a team, the Buckeyes finished third at this year’s tournament and the season with a 37-23 record.
