COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State baseball team’s scheduled game with Illinois today at 3:05 p.m. was cancelled due to rainy, near-freezing conditions. The two teams will now play a pair of doubleheaders, one Saturday at 1:05 p.m. (CDT) and one Sunday at 1:05 p.m. (CDT). All four games in the series will be shortened to seven innings.
Ohio State (23-7, 7-1), the No. 22 team in the nation in the Baseball America weekly poll, sits in first place in the Big Ten standings. Illinois (20-12, 7-5) is in fourth place in the conference.
