COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Buckeye baseball team arrived at The University of Miami Thursday afternoon for the BELLSOUTH Hurricane Diamond Classic.
The team touched down too late to watch the Hurricanes take on the Florida Marlins, but practiced for two hours at Mark Light Stadium after the contest. Miami held a 3-0 lead into the sixth, but ended up losing 12-3.
The Buckeyes are anticipating another chance to play in order to iron out wrinkles that were showing after last weeks tournament.
Rumor has it that the pitching staff will unveil a “new look” for the tournament, but none of the hurlers will let on what exactly has been planned.
OSU (2-1) opens the tournament with East Carolina (9-2), Friday at 4:30 p.m.
