COLUMBUS, Ohio – For the third time in his career, senior pitcher Justin Fry (Munhall, Pa.) was named the Big Ten’s Pitcher of the Week.
Fry picked up two wins at the Homestead Challenge last week and was named to the all-tournament team. In 16.0 innings pitched, the co-captain struck out 19 batters, walked one and allowed just two earned runs.
With his fourth strikeout against Rider, Fry moved ahead of Steve Arlin to become the all-time Ohio State strikeout leader (313). He is currently tied for second for career wins with 28, needing just three to pass Pete Perini (30 from 1947-50).
