Buckeyes Leave Chicago with 12th Place Finish at Windy City Collegiate

CHICAGO, Ill. – The Ohio State women’s golf team finished 12th after the final day of the Windy City Collegiate Invitational Tuesday at Glen View Club.

Sophomore Lauren Peter led the Buckeyes, shooting 73-71-71 at 1-under par. The performance placed her in a tie for 11th.

“I am really pleased with Lauren’s progress. She is working hard on her short game and course management,” Therese Hession, Ohio State director of golf, said. “It has come a long way toward making her a complete player. We look forward to more good scores ahead.”

Sophomore Aneka Seumanutafa carded a 75-77-72 to round out the tournament at 8-over. Fellow sophomore Skylar Thompson and junior Yukie Sasaki tied for 57th, shooting 10-over. Thompson shot 74-75-77, while Sasaki carded 77-75-74. Senior Adeena Shears finished the tournament with 82-76-73 at 15-over.
