COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State baseball team is proud to welcome Conlee Handshy from Team IMPACT to the Buckeye family.
Team IMPACT is a national non-profit organization that matches children with serious illnesses and disabilities with college athletic teams.
Handshy, an eight-year-old from Zanesville, Ohio, was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis at just 13 days old. Handshy and his parents, Kristina and Bryan, and his sister, Bexlee, will have a multi-year relationship with the team and truly be a part of the Buckeye program.
Handshy and his family have shared his experience battling cystic fibrosis through Conlee’s Crew.
Handshy had a signing ceremony Saturday afternoon before Ohio State’s game versus Illinois to officially welcome him to the team. Handshy and head coach Bill Mosiello signed his “National Letter of Intent” to ink the deal amidst cheers from the Buckeye baseball student-athletes.
