• Lifted both the Darien High volleyball and football teams to FCIAC championships and stat runner-up finishes during the 2014-15 season
• Placed third in the high jump at the Connecticut Class C state championships
• Also spent time competing for the basketball and lacrosse teams
• Captained the Mizuno East Volleyball Club to an 11th-place showing out of 72 teams at the 2016 Nationals (best finish in club history)
PERSONAL
• Son of Todd and Nancy Herget
• Todd played linebacker at BYU (1987, 1991-93) and was a Butkus award candidate
• Nancy competed for the BYU Track & Field team (1991)
• Has five siblings – Tim, Tyler, Rachel, Trevor and Thomas
• Served a two-year mission trip in Trujillo, Peru
