Palmer’s Personal-Best Leads Buckeyes in Bloomington

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State track and field team had six student-athletes compete at the Billy Hayes Invitational on Friday, hosted at Indiana University.

David Palmer set a personal-best time (52.03) in the men’s 400m hurdles, just 0.001 seconds off the winning time in a photo finish. Nick Miller had the Buckeye men’s best race of the season in the 800m (1:49.27), finishing fifth overall.

• Kashawn Baptiste put together his best finish of the season in the men’s 400m as he was the runner-up (48.38).
• In the women’s 800m, Mallory Mulzer crossed the line third (2:09.78). On the men’s side, Cameron Cooper just missed the top-10 (1:52.03).
• Baptiste wrapped up the Buckeyes’ showing with a fourth-place finish in the men’s 200m (21.86), while Amir Metts finished in 23.25.
