Buckeyes play at Purdue Saturday, at Indiana Sunday
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 3 Ohio State women's tennis team will wrap up a stretch of five consecutive road matches this weekend, taking on Purdue Saturday and Indiana Sunday. The matches are the final road contests of the regular season.

The Buckeyes and Boilermakers will meet at noon Saturday in West Lafayette, Ind., and Ohio State will take on the Hoosiers at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in Bloomington, Ind.

Purdue
- The Buckeyes are 37-23 all-time vs. Purdue, with wins in the last 14 matches.
- Ohio State posted a 4-0 win over the Boilermakers last season at home and won the last match in West Lafayette by the same score March 24, 2024.
- Purdue is 7-10 overall this year and has a 3-6 Big Ten ledger. The squad split B1G road matches last week, falling at Maryland 4-0 and winning at Rutgers 4-0.

- Four other Big Ten teams are ranked in the Top 25 this week - No. 10 USC, No. 15 Michigan, No.16 UCLA and No. 21 Washington.
- In the new singles rankings, Teah Chavez and Luciana Perry remained in the Top 5 at No. 4 and No. 5, respectively. It is the fifth straight release Ohio State has had two of the nation's Top 5 ranked singles players.
- Earlier this season, Chavez and Perry became the second and third Buckeyes to earn a spot in the singles Top 3, joining Francesca Di Lorenzo, who was as high as No. 1 in 2016 and '17. Chavez has been as high as No. 2, with Perry reaching No. 3.

- Ohio State is 17-3 on the year after posting three road wins in five days last week. The Buckeyes won 4-1 at both No. 17 Michigan and at Nebraska and topped Iowa 4-0.
- The Buckeyes are 8-1 in Big Ten matches, with home wins over Michigan, Michigan State, Rutgers and Maryland and road wins at Penn State, UCLA, Nebraska and Iowa, with the loss at USC.
- In the B1G standings with two weeks left in the regular season, Michigan is 9-1, with Ohio State and USC 8-1. Washington, Maryland and Wisconsin follow with 6-3 records. The Top 12 teams will compete in the Big Ten Championship – Ohio State, USC and Michigan have all clinched tourney berths.
- In dual matches, Audrey Spencer is 13-0 to lead the Buckeyes, followed by Teah Chavez who is 13-1, with Luciana Perry 11-2. Spencer has won her last 17 completed matches.
- Overall, Nao Nishino has a team-best 23 victories this year. Chavez, Perry and Spencer each have 19 singles victories.
- As a team, the Buckeyes are 64-21 in dual matches. The squad is 14-2 on court two, with a 13-2 ledger on court four. Court one is 11-1, with court five 10-2 and court six 10-5.
- The Buckeyes have won the doubles point in the last six matches. The tandem of Flora Johnson and Perry leads Ohio State with an 8-2 mark this spring.
- The ITA announced Ohio State will serve as a host school for the ITA National Team Indoor Championships in both 2027 and 2028. A joint host with Michigan, both schools will host opening rounds of play each year. Michigan will host the semifinals and final in 2027 and Ohio State will host the semifinals and final in 2028. Host schools are automatically in the 16-team tournament field.
