Ohio State takes on Indiana Sunday to close stretch of five straight road matches
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 3 ranked Ohio State women's tennis team is now 9-1 in Big Ten play after a 4-0 win at Purdue Saturday in West Lafayette, Ind. Ohio State moves to 18-3 overall, while the Boilermakers are 7-11 (3-7 B1G).

Audrey Spencer notched a singles win and paired with Sophia Cisse-Ignatiev for a doubles victory. Flora Johnso and Luciana Perry teamed up for a doubles victory, while Alessia Cau and Nao Nishino also won in singles.

How it Happened
- Ohio State captured the doubles point. On court three, Audrey Spencer and Sophia Cisse-Ignatiev won 6-2 and No. 36 Luciana Perry and Flora Johnson clinched the point with a 6-3 win on court one vs. No. 55 Ece Gencer and Ida Clement.
- The Buckeyes took five of the first sets in singles.
- Alessia Cau was a 6-1, 6-3 winner on court six against Emmi Kolyszko for a 2-0 Buckeye lead.
- Spencer, ranked 96th, followed with a win over Fatima Gutierrez, 6-3, 6-1, on court three.
- No. 74 Nao Nishino clinched Ohio State's victory, as she topped Kayal Gownder, 6-3, 6-1, on court four.
- The remaining matches were abandoned. On court five, Hephzibah Oluwadare was up a set and on serve 5-4 in the second. On court two, Cisse-Ignatiev won the first set and was ahead 5-2 in the second. On court one, Perry dropped her first set in a tiebreak and they had not finished a game in the second.
- Spencer leads Ohio State with a 14-0 mark this spring. Nishino is 10-5 in dual play, with Cau 5-1.
- Johnson and Perry are 9-2 in doubles, while Cisse-Ignatiev and Spencer have a 7-3 ledger.
