Buckeyes Earn Team and Individual ITA Academic Awards

Basil, Johnson, Oluwadare and Cau recognized
COLUMBUS, Ohio -- For the 10th year in a row, the Ohio State women's tennis team has been honored with an ITA All-Academic Team award, while four Buckeyes were named ITA Scholar-Athletes, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced Monday.
This is the 17th team honor in program history. To be named an ITA All-Academic Team, programs must have a team grade-point average of 3.2 or better, when factoring all letterwinners into the cumulative grade-point average for the current academic year. ITA Scholar-Athletes must have a grade-point average of 3.5 or better for the current academic year and be listed on the institutional eligibility form.
Megan Basil, a senior in 2025-26, was named an ITA Scholar-Athlete for the fourth time. She is one of seven Buckeyes to be recognized four or more times. Alessia Cau, a junior this past season, is a two-time honoree and 2025-26 newcomers Hephzibah Oluwadare and Flora Johnson earned the honor in their first collegiate season.Â
