Ohio State has now won nine of the last ten
Taylor Cruse went 3-3 on the day with two home runs and four RBI. Sami Bewick, Kiki Estrada, and Izzy Neal each had multiple hits as well. Hadley Parisien and Lottie Landmesser each contributed home runs.
Lorin Boutte got the start and the win, tossing 3.1 innings and allowing four earned runs. Kennedy Kay got the save in relief, throwing 1.2 innings while retiring each batter faced.
How it Happened, 5 inn.
- Ohio State opened scoring with a two-out, two run Taylor Cruse home run that scored Abbie Wilhlem.
- Hadley Parisien followed up with a three-run shot of her own the following inning, scoring Skylar Limon and Izzy Neal. Kiki Estrada then dropped a single deep down the left field line to score Sami Bewick, putting the Buckeyes up 6-0.
- Dayton took back two runs in the top of the third on a Kirnan Bailey double to center that scored Mickie Shively, followed up by Bailey scoring on a fly out.
- Ella Holman homered to score Katelin Goodwin, putting Dayton within two in the fourth inning.
- Cruse notched her third RBI of the day in the bottom half of the inning with a double that brought in Bewick, putting the Buckeyes up 7-4. Lottie Landmesser then homered to score Cruse, with Limon doubling to score Neal, giving Ohio State a 10-4 lead through four.
- Ohio State slammed the door in the fifth inning with Cruse's second home run of the day and a fielding error that scored Tanaya Barrett, sealing the 12-4 victory.
- Lorin Boutte got the start and the win, allowing four runs on six hits through 3.1 innings, striking out one. Kennedy Kay recorded her first save of the year for the Buckeyes. Kate Kastelic got the start and the loss for Dayton.

The Buckeyes will look to take their winning momentum on the road, where they'll face conference-rival Michigan (24-14).
