COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State softball improved to 24-23 on the year, taking its first ranked win of the season in a 3-0 shutout win over No. 14 Oregon. The Ducks were handed their first shutout loss since February 7 against Tennessee.
Kiki Estrada powered the Buckeyes to the win, with two solo home runs that brought her season total to 15 on the year and made up for two of the three winning runs. Izzy Neal and Skylar Limon each added hits.
Lorin Boutte shone in the circle, tossing a complete game shutout, her second shutout on the year. Boutte retired seven Ducks, scattering only five hits, without allowing a single walk.

How it Happened
- After three shutout innings, Kiki Estrada opened scoring with a solo shot to center, giving Ohio State a 1-0 lead.
- The Buckeyes added another run in the top of the fifth, with Abbie Wilhelm reaching on a fielder's choice and Skylar Limon scoring on a throwing error.
- Estrada went deep again in the top of the sixth, another solo bomb to center field that put the Buckeyes up 3-0.
- Lorin Boutte (6-5) got the start and the win, going the distance in a seven strikeout, five hit performance. Lyndsey Grein (23-5) got the start and the loss for Oregon.
