COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State softball (23-23) will look to take its second consecutive conference series in a weekend road trip against the No. 14 Oregon Ducks (35-9).

Briefly on the Buckeyes
Ohio State will head to Eugene with a 10-8 conference record, having taken series over Iowa, Michigan State, Minnesota and Penn State. Abbie Wilhelm, who leads the roster with 22 home runs, has swung her way into the program record book, surpassing 21 home runs to rank second all-time in single-season home runs. Taylor Cruse also finds herself in the record book, as her 20 home runs this season are tied for fourth most all time. Both Wilhelm and Cruse lead the Buckeyes in RBI, with 46 and 45 respectively.
Sami Bewick leads the squad in average, batting .386 with a team-best 17 multi-hit games. Bewick is coming off a ten-game hitting streak where she bat .500. Skylar Limon is on her heels, batting .381 and going 8-8 on stolen base attempts.
Jenna Molk leads the pitching stable in nearly every category, including ERA, wins, and strikeouts. Sophomore Lorin Boutte has also enjoyed success late in the season, picking up three of Ohio State's last four wins.
Noting Oregon
Oregon will host the Buckeyes at a 16-2 mark in Big Ten play thus far and on an 11-game win streak. The Ducks have series wins over Penn State, Purdue, Northwestern, Iowa, Maryland and Washington. Hitting .322 as a unit, Oregon has seven every-day players batting above .300. Elon Butler leads the squad in average (.412), home runs (14) and RBI (50). The Ducks are holding opponents to an average of just .220, with a team ERA of 3.24.
Lyndsey Grein is Oregon's winningest pitcher, with 23 wins and a standout ERA of 2.15. Grein's 177 strikeouts and win total each lead the Big Ten.
