Ohio State faces Kent State in final regular season nonconference game

Buckeyes vs. Golden Flashes
- The Ohio State women's lacrosse team wraps up the regular season with two games at home this week. First is a 3 p.m. matchup against Kent State Wednesday, followed by a Big Ten game vs. No. 3 Maryland Saturday.

- Admission and parking are free to all regular season home games.
- Ohio State is 8-6 on the year (3-4 B1G) and coming off an 11-10 win in double overtime at Southern California Saturday. Kent State is 7-7 (2-3 MAC) and posted a 15-7 road win over Detroit Mercy Sunday in its last game.Â
Buckeyes vs. Golden Flashes
- Ohio State is 2-0 all-time vs. Kent State.
- The teams first met Feb. 12, 2020 in Columbus, a 22-11 Buckeye win.
- In 2024, the Buckeyes posted a 17-6 win at home over the Golden Flashes.
- Kent State, 7-7 overall, is a member of the Mid-American Conference and has a 2-3 league ledger, with wins over Youngstown State and Detroit Mercy and losses to Eastern Michigan, Akron and Robert Morris.Â
- The Golden Flashes are scoring 8.5 goals a game and allowing 9.5 a contest to rank 29th nationally. The team is fourth in the NCAA in save percentage (.513), ranks 26th in caused turnovers per game (10.5) and is 21st in ground balls per outing (17.57).

- For the second year in a row, Buckeye goalie Jocelyn Torres has been named to the watch list for the Tewaaraton Award.Â
- This year, she has started all 14 games for the Buckeyes, with 96 saves, a 10.60 goals-against average and .407 save percentage.
- Torres has 66 collegiate games played (all starts), posting a 10.54 gaa and .447 sv%. Â
- She matched her career best with 14 saves at Louisville Feb. 10 in a double overtime win and had 12 saves in the Buckeyes' win at Northwestern March 15 and against Rutgers March 19, tied for the fourth-most in her collegiate career.
- In its last time out, Ohio State won in double overtime at USC, 11-10, Saturday. USC scored the game's first two goals but a five-goal run gave the Buckeyes a 5-2 lead early in the second and Ohio State led 7-4 at the half. The Scarlet and Gray held a one-goal advantage, 8-7, entering the fourth quarter. The lead stretched to 10-7 before the Trojans drew even late. After a scoreless first overtime, Kampbell Stone's tallied the gamewinner in double overtime.
- The win over the Trojans was the Buckeyes' second double overtime win this year, along with a victory at Louisville with a Kate Tyack gamewinner.
- Ohio State is averaging 13.29 goals per game, ranking 29th in the NCAA, and has 16 or more in five of the last 10 outings.Â
- Ohio State is allowing 10.43 goals per game, giving up 10 or less in 10 outings (including four or less four times). Â
- The Buckeyes are averaging 28.14 shots a game and holding opponents to 23.9 per outing. Ohio State is 18th nationally in shooting percentage (.472) and is averaging 20.79 shots on goal a game.

- The win at then-No. 4 Northwestern March 15 was the Buckeyes' first over a top 10 team since a 16-13 victory at No. 9 Penn State April 9, 2016, with Ohio State ranked 12th at the time. It was the first win over a team ranked in the top 5 since an unranked Ohio State squad beat No. 4 Northwestern in overtime 11-10 March 9, 2014.
- Senior transfer Camryn Callaghan is first on the squad with 39 goals, including four at USC Saturday, and ranks second with 50 points, standing third with 11 assists. She has a team-high nine player-up scores to tie for fourth in the Big Ten. Â
- Callaghan has a point in each of her last 29 games, with an 80-17-97 line in the stretch. Her career total is now 236 points (196g, 40a). She ranks sixth among current NCAA players in career goals and is 11th in points, ranking 15th in goals per game (2.97).Â
- This year, Callaghan is fourth nationally and second in the Big Ten in free position goals per game (15/1.07). She has converted 57.7 percent of her free position opportunities to rank 26th.
- Junior Kate Tyack leads the Buckeyes with 56 points, ranking second with 33 goals and first with 23 assists (her second-straight 40-point season and one goal shy of the team-best 34 goals she had a season ago). She has multiple points in 13 of 14 games this season (all but Feb. 27 vs. Detroit Mercy), with multiple assists in seven games (including four at USC last time out) and multiple goals in nine. She now has 91 goals and 127 points in her Buckeye career. Tyack is on a 19-game point streak, with 45 goals, 22 assists and 67 points in the stretch, with an 18-game goal streak ended vs. the Trojans. She has three gamewinning goals this year.
- Sophomore Abby Boyle, who was first on the team with 50 draw controls last year, had a program-record 16 against Detroit Mercy Feb. 27. The program record had been 13, set three times prior, with the last March 10, 2022 by Chloe Johnson. She leads the Buckeyes with 84 draw controls, the second most in program history behind Johnson's 124 in 2022. Boyle has five or more draws in nine of the last 12 games. She currently ranks fifth in program history with 134 draw controls.Â
- Jocelyn Torres is first on the squad with 27 ground balls, followed by Darrien Furiness with 26. Furiness, a senior, has started all 14 games this season after playing in nine games the last three years combined.Â
- Kampbell Stone is second on the team with 32 draw controls, followed by Delaney Harlan with 26. Stone is tied for third on the squad with 10 caused turnovers, while Lindsey McCulloch is second with 11. Furiness and Katie Kaucheck (who had four CT last time out) each have 10 as well.
- Stone has 17 goals on the year, with at least one score in 10 outings, and shares the team lead with three gamewinners.
- Audrey Schoemer, who has started all 46 games in her Buckeye career, is first on the team with 15 caused turnovers, including a career-high four vs. Oregon March 26 and at USC last Saturday.
- Zoe Coleman has goals in nine of 14 games this year, with a 17-5-22 line. She now has 72 goals and 25 assists for 97 career points in 62 games. Â
- Maddy Paz is third on the team with 19 goals and 36 points and second with 17 assists after a six-goal and point season as a freshman last year. She has a point in 12 of 14 games this season.Â
- Brooke Vinson has a goal in 11 of 14 games this year, including in five of the last six outings. She has a career-high 15 goals and 18 points. Vinson played in six games and had three points (1g, 2a) over the last three years.
- Annie Hargraves had her third hat trick of the season at USC and now has 16 goals to rank fifth on the squad.Â
- Ohio State has secured a spot in the seven-team Big Ten Tournament. The No. 1 seed will receive a bye into the semifinals, with three quarterfinals April 22, the semifinals April 24 and the final April 26. Michigan will host the tournament at U-M Lacrosse Stadium in Ann Arbor.Â
