Stone notches gamewinner off Tyack assist
COLUMBUS, Ohio – A Kampbell Stone goal in double overtime lifted the Ohio State women's lacrosse team to an 11-10 victory at Southern California Saturday in Los Angeles. The Buckeyes are now 8-6 on the year (3-4 Big Ten), with the Trojans 7-9 (0-7 B1G).

USC scored the game's first two goals but a five-goal run gave the Buckeyes a 5-2 lead early in the second and Ohio State led 7-4 at the half. The Scarlet and Gray held a one-goal advantage, 8-7, entering the fourth quarter. The lead stretched to 10-7 before the Trojans drew even late. After a scoreless first overtime, Kate Tyack set up the Stone's gamewinner in double overtime.

Camryn Callaghan led Ohio State with four goals and Tyack had four assists. Annie Hargraves notched a hat trick and Stone tallied twice. Jocelyn Torres had eight saves for the Buckeyes, with six in the second half, and led the squad with four ground balls. Abby Boyle was first for the Buckeyes with eight draw controls and Stone had three. Katie Kaucheck and Audrey Schoemer each caused four turnovers.

How it Happened
- USC scored the game's first two goals – at 13:03 and 11:39 – but Ohio State outscored the Trojans 4-0 before the end of the quarter for a 4-2 lead.
- Camryn Callaghan notched back-to-back goals at 9:55, on a free position shot, and then at 8:48 after causing a turnover deep in the USC zone.
- At 5:55 Annie Hargraves converted a free position chance and Callaghan finished her hat trick with a goal off a Kate Tyack pass at 1:21.
- Hargraves opened the scoring in the second quarter at 11:28 on another free position opportunity.
- Each team scored twice before halftime, putting the Buckeyes up 7-4.
- Back-to-back goals from USC came at 7:01 and 5:07, answered by Ohio State at 3:45 from Callaghan (on a free position shot) and with 27 seconds left by Maddy Paz with an assist from Tyack,
- USC tied the game at seven after goals at 13:07, 7:06 and 2:02 of the third quarter.
- Hargraves answered less than a minute later, converting a free position chance to complete her hat trick for a 9-7 lead through three quarters.
- Tyack set up Zoe Coleman at 10:05 and a Kampbell Stone free position score gave Ohio State a 10-7 lead at 3:42.
- With goals at 2:18, :52 and :14, the Trojans tied the game at 10 to force overtime.
- Neither team scored in the first overtime.
- In the second, Tyack found Stone in the middle and she was able to get a low shot past the goalie at 2:30 for the win.
