COLUMBUS, Ohio – Two of the country's seven remaining unbeaten teams face off in Columbus this weekend as the No. 7 Ohio State men's lacrosse team hosts No. 1 Notre Dame Saturday, March 7. The top 10 matchup between the Buckeyes (6-0) and Fighting Irish (4-0) is set for 2 p.m. from Ohio State Lacrosse Stadium.

Buckeyes In a Nutshell
- Ohio State is coming off a 10-9 road win over then-ranked No. 11 Georgetown. The win was the team's first of the season against a ranked opponent. Ohio State's next six games are against teams ranked in the USILA coaches' poll.
- The Buckeyes finished their February slate undefeated for first time since 2022. The team's 6-0 start to the season is its best since 2019.
- Through six games of the 2026 season, Ohio State is third in the country in man-up offense (.667), scoring defense (6.50) and scoring margin (7.50) and top 10 nationally in caused turnovers per game (10.33), clear percentage (.910), faceoff win percentage (.637) and ground balls per game (38.00).
- The Buckeyes are Big Ten Conference leaders in caused turnovers, with senior Cullen Brown causing a team-high 11 turnovers on the year. With 70 in his career, Brown is three caused turnovers shy of tying the program record. Dominic Shaw (8), Jonny Cool (6), Kyle Foster (6) and Griffin Leidel (5) are top five on the team in caused turnovers.
- Ohio State is home to two of the Big Ten's most productive attackmen this year. Junior Garrett Haas, the Buckeyes' leading scorer with 28 points and 14 assists, is the Big Ten leader with 4.67 points per game and 2.33 assists per game. The Buckeyes' scoring leader of graduate Alex Marinier (16) paces the league with four man-up goals on the year and is third in total goals.
- The Big Ten is also led by Buckeye specialists in goalie Caleb Fyock and faceoff specialist Jack Oldman. Fyock has earned a conference-best 6.51 goals-against average and a 58.8 save percentage and both marks are top 10 nationally. Oldman leads the Big Ten with 6.00 ground balls per game. He is third in the conference in win percentage (.639).
- Saturday is the second time in as many years Ohio State faces off against Notre Dame with the Irish ranked in the top two. Last season, the Buckeyes took down second ranked Notre Dame in South Bend, Ind, 10-9. Ohio State is 25-38 in the all-time series against Notre Dame and winners of four of the last six matchups.
- Head coach Nick Myers is in his 18th season leading the Scarlet and Gray. In his Ohio State career, he has led the team to a 152-110 record. He is assisted by associate head coach Travis Crane and assistant coaches James Purpura and Justin Tuma.
