COLUMBUS, Ohio – No. 16 Ohio State (12-10, 7-6) will take on MIVA foe Northern Kentucky (5-14, 2-10) at 5 p.m. Saturday at the Covelli Center. Seniors Shane Wetzel, Daniel Hurley, Jack O'Riordan and senior manager Joe Toomey will be recognized in prematch ceremonies.

COLUMBUS, Ohio – No. 16 Ohio State (12-10, 7-6) will take on MIVA foe Northern Kentucky (5-14, 2-10) at 5 p.m. Saturday at the Covelli Center. Seniors Shane Wetzel, Daniel Hurley, Jack O'Riordan and senior manager Joe Toomey will be recognized in prematch ceremonies.
- The Buckeyes will wrap up the MIVA regular season with two road games at No. 12 McKendree and No. 11 Lindenwood April 9 and 11.
- Ohio State defeated the Norse in its last matchup Feb 5 in a 3-0 sweep.
- Wetzel led Ohio State in kills the last time out with 14 to add to his career total of 1,252 kills. He also led in digs with 10. Eliel Salva-Torres followed close behind adding 12 kills and hitting .450 in the match against Penn State. Â
- Aaron Grimm put up four blocks, six kills and one service ace against the Nittany Lions.
- Setter Daniel Henwood Rodriguez recorded 36 assists, three kills, five digs, and two service aces. Wetzel and Stanislaw Chacinski added two service aces apiece as well.
- Following a team vote, Wetzel and Drew Hudson were named captains for the 2026 season. Hudson is the first sophomore to earn captain honors in the history of the program.Â
- Wetzel and Chacinski both were recognized as 2025 AVCA Honorable Mention All-Americans after earning 2025 postseason Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association honors. In addition, the MIVA coaches voted Ohio State in the No. 2 position in the league 2026 preseason poll.
- In his seventh season, Kevin Burch achieved his 100th win as Ohio State's head coach (108-72) with the victory against Lincoln Memorial (3-0). Securing the win against the Railsplitters gave Burch win No. 100 to go with one regular-season MIVA title, a pair of league tournament championships and two NCAA Tournament appearances. Â
