
Buckeyes Take 11-1 Five Inning Victory Over Indiana State

Ohio State hit five home runs on the day with ten hits
The win saw hits by six different Buckeyes and home runs three different players. Hadley Parisien and Kiki Estrada each had two homers apiece, with Abbie Wilhelm adding one. Parisien went 2-for-3 on the day with six RBI, with Estrada going 3-for-3 with a double and two home runs. Izzy Neal would also go 2-2 with two stolen bases and two runs scored.
Jenna Molk went the distance for her eighth win of the year and her eighth complete game. Molk's seven strikeouts were good for a season-high, breaking her previous mark of six that was set in Ohio State's first matchup with the Sycamores. Molk has continued to not allow any more than two runs in each of her wins.
On the weekend, Parisien hit .444 with four home runs, six runs scored, 10 RBI and a slugging percentage of 1.167. Molk picked up the win in each of Ohio State's three victories and had a 2.21 ERA in 19.0 innings in the circle. Bewick was also hot at the plate, finishing with 10 hits in five games, a .556 average, and three extra base hits.
How it Happened
- Ohio State plated four runs in the bottom of the second inning on a Lottie Landmesser sac fly that scored Kiki Estrada and a Hadley Parisien home run that scored both Hailey Lang and Izzy Neal.
- Kiki Estrada notched her sixth home run of the year in the bottom of the third, a solo shot that gave the Buckeyes a 5-0 lead.
- Three home runs, another three-run shot by Parisien, a solo bomb by Abbie Wilhelm, and a two-run shot by Estrada gave Ohio State an 11-0 lead through four.
- Indiana State would score in the top of the fifth on a Morgan Goodrich single that brought in Bella Pusateri.
- Jenna Molk (8-10) got the nod and the win, allowing six hits and one earned run while striking out seven.
The Buckeyes will continue their current homestand with a midweek game against Cal (10-22), followed up by a three-game Big Ten series against Michigan State (13-16).
