COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State returns to action this weekend at the Colleton River Collegiate in Bluffton, S.C. The 54-hole event starts on Sunday and the final round will be played on Monday. The Dye Course at the Colleton River Club will be the venue for this week’s tournament.
- This will be Ohio State’s 4th appearance in the event in the last six years. Its best finish is a tie for fourth in 2022 as Adam Wallin claimed medalist honors.
- Ohio State’s lineup this week will be Giedrius Mackelis, Jack Vojtko, Joe Wilson IV, Vaughn Harber and Tyler Sabo. Freshman Finley Bartlett will play as an individual this week.
- Mackelis was the low Buckeye at the Watersound Invitational two weeks ago as he carded three rounds at par or better for the first time in his young career. He also matched his season low by finishing at 1-under par. This will be the fifth tournament of his season.
- Jack Vojtko had a tough fall portion of the season but has opened the spring with two solid events. He finished 1-under par at the Puerto Rico Classic and then carded three consecutive rounds of even-par 70 at the Watersound Invitational.
- Joe Wilson IV played the final 36 holes of the Watersound Invite in 1-under par. Five of his six rounds this spring have been at par or better.
- Vaughn Harber rebounded from an uncharacteristic opening round at Watersound to post rounds of 70-71. He has finished three of five events under-par this season.
- Tyler Sabo leads the team in scoring at 71.06 and also had a pair of Top 20 finishes.
- Finley Bartlett has played in a pair of events so far in his freshman campaign. In his most recent event, finish fired a 2-under 68 in the final round of the Xavier Invitational to finish tied for 13th.
- After a cool start to the spring near Hilton Head, the temperatures will be near normal for this time of year. Temps are expected around 70 degrees both days with very little chance of rain.
