Buckeyes Battle Down the Stretch, Finish 2nd at Colleton River

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State traded blows with Kentucky the entire final round and would come up just one shot short in the end, finishing second at the Colleton River Collegiate this week at the Colleton River Club in Bluffton, S.C.
The runner-up finish in the best of the season for the Buckeyes, who shot a final round 289 and finished at 10-under par.
Individually, Jack Vojtko fired a 2-under 70 on Monday to finish in a tie for 5th at 5-under par. This was his first Top 5 of the season and the third of his career. Vojtko has posted a round of par or better in eight of nine rounds this spring.
Tyler Sabo finished in a tie for 19th at even par following a final round 76. Joe Wilson IV, Vaughn Harber and Giedrius Mackelis each shot a final round 73. Wilson IV finished at 1-over par, Harber was at 2-over and Mackelis was 3-over for the event.
Freshman Finley Bartlett, who played as an individual this week, finished up with a final round 79.
The Buckeyes will cap their spring break trip at the Linger Longer Invitational on March 20-22 a the Great Waters Golf Club in Eatonton, Ga.
