
Buckeyes Fire Best Afternoon Round, 2nd After Day 1 at Colleton River

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State shot a 10-under 278 in the afternoon, tied for the lowest round by team on Sunday, and sit in second place through two rounds of the Colleton River Collegiate.
The Buckeyes got three under-par rounds in the afternoon and trail Kentucky by just one shot at 11-under par.
Tyler Sabo made 12 birdies in his 36 holes, the most of any player on Sunday. He posted rounds of 72-68 and is tied for seventh at 4-udner par. Jack Vojtko nearly matched Sabo as he shot a 72 in the morning and a 69 in the afternoon and is 3-under for the tournament and tied for 12th.
Joe Wilson IV shot a pair of even-par rounds of 72 and is tied for 24th. Vaughn Harber made five birdies in his opening round of 71 and followed with a 74 to sit at 1-over par. Freshman Giedrius Mackelis rebounded from a tough opening round 77 with a counting 3-under 69 in the afternoon. He is 2-over par through two rounds. Fellow Freshman Finley Bartlett rounded out the Buckeyes on Sunday with rounds of 74-78.
The Buckeyes are paired with Iowa, Minnesota and Kentucky in the final round, which starts for the grouping at 8:55 a.m. off the first tee.
