COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State senior Kary Hollenbaugh has been named to the ANNIKA Award presented by Stifel Preseason Watch List for the 2025–26 season. The honor places her among the top 25 players in the country entering the fall and firmly establishes her as one of the early favorites for the sport’s most prestigious collegiate award.
The ANNIKA Award, named after World Golf Hall of Famer Annika Sörenstam, is presented annually to the nation’s top female collegiate golfer as voted on by players, coaches, and members of the media. Many past recipients have gone on to enjoy standout careers on the LPGA Tour.
Hollenbaugh earned her spot on the list after a record-breaking junior year in which she won four tournaments – tying the Ohio State single-season record – and set the program mark for scoring average to par. Her season included a career-low 200 (-16) at the Clemson Invitational, victories at the Therese Hession Regional Challenge and Therese Hession Buckeye Invitational, and a successful title defense at the Spartan Suncoast Invitational.
She was also the silver medalist at the Big Ten Championships, advanced to the final round of stroke play at the NCAA Championships and competed in both the Augusta National Women’s Amateur and the U.S. Women’s Open. Following her success, Hollenbaugh was named a Golfweek First Team All-American, a WGCA Second Team All-American, and an ANNIKA Award Finalist in 2025.
