Game Recap
- To lead off the bottom of the third inning, Ryan Miller hit a 400-foot home run to right field. Maddix Simpson followed with a single to right field and was put into scoring position from a Reggie Bussey sac bunt. Matthew Graveline drew a walk then Tyler Pettorini and Lee Ellis hit back-to-back singles to put the Buckeyes ahead, 3-0.
- In the top of the fourth inning, the Wolverines plated three runs to even the score, 3-3.
- Miller drew a walk and advanced to second on a wild pitch to lead off the bottom of the fourth inning. Simpson also drew a walk and advanced on a wild pitch, then Bussey walked to load the bases. Trey Lipsey reached on a fielder's choice and Graveline grounded out to the third baseman, scoring one to put the Buckeyes back on top, 4-3.
- Michigan added two more runs in the top of the fifth inning to take the lead, 5-4.
- In the top of the sixth inning, Michigan scored four runs to extend the lead to five, 9-4.
- The Wolverines scored two runs in the top of the eighth inning to take a seven-run lead, 11-4.
- In the bottom of the ninth inning, Graveline drew a leadoff walk, then Ellis was hit by a pitch. However, they were left stranded as the Wolverines came away with the win in game one of the doubleheader.
- Ellis and Miller led the team with two hits each.
- Gavin Kuzniewski (3-5) took the loss on the mound. He tied a career-high in strikeouts with four and gave up eight runs on eight hits in 5.1 innings pitched.

- After a three-hour and 45-minute lightning delay, the Wolverines got on the board in the top of the first inning with an RBI single to take the lead, 1-0.
- The Wolverines plated two runs in the top of the second inning to extend their lead to three, 3-0.
- In the bottom of the second inning, Maddix Simpson led off with a double to center field, however he was left stranded.
- Michigan hit a two-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to extend the lead to five, 5-0.
- In the top of the sixth inning, the Wolverines plated two runs to take a 6-0 lead over the Buckeyes.
- Michigan scored three runs in the top of the seventh inning to extend its lead to nine, 9-0.
- With one out in the bottom of the seventh inning, Ellis hit a single to left field, Mason Eckelman drew a walk and then Miller hit a double to right field. Simpson singled to center field, scoring two runs to put the Buckeyes within six, 9-3.
- In the top of the eighth inning, the Wolverines plated four runs to take a 13-3 lead.
- With two outs in the bottom of the eighth inning, pinch hitter Will Carpenter drew a walk, however, he was left stranded as the Wolverines came away with the game and the series sweep.
- Simpson had a team high two hits and two RBIs.
- Jake Michalak (1-5) took the loss. He struck out seven and gave up five runs on five hits in 5.0 innings pitched.
