Hollenbaugh Ties for 34th at NCAA Championships

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State women's golf junior Kary Hollenbaugh wrapped up a phenomenal season with a tied-for-34th finish at the NCAA Championships at Omni La Costa in Carlsbad, Calif.
In the final round of stroke play on Monday, Hollenbaugh shot a one-over 73 to finish with a four-round score of 292 (+4) at her first career NCAA Championships. She carded a 71 (-1) in round one, a 73 (+1) in round two and a 75 (+3) in round three and helped the Buckeyes to a T-24th place finish in their first NCAA Championships appearance since 2018.
Over four rounds, Hollenbaugh had nine birdies and 51 pars. She was one-under on par 4s, which was tied for 12th-best among the field of players, which was cut from 156 to 84 prior to the final round of stroke play on Monday.
Hollenbaugh had an outstanding junior campaign, picking up four tournament wins to tie the program record for wins in a single season. She was the individual champion at the Therese Hession Regional Challenge, the Spartan Suncoast Invitational, the Clemson Invitational and the Therese Hession Buckeye Invitational. She led the Buckeyes with 13 rounds in the 60s and she finishes the season with a team-best 71.14 scoring average and 111 birdies.
Hollenbaugh will be back in action May 29-June 1 at the U.S. Women's Open at Erin Hills Golf Course in Wisconsin.
