
Buckeyes Wrap Up Regular Season Home Schedule This Weekend

Ohio State welcomes Purdue to Buckeye Field for a three-game series
COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State fans have three more opportunities to see the Buckeyes at home in the regular season, as Ohio State (38-10-1, 11-5 Big Ten) brings a six-game winning streak into this weekend's slate of games against Purdue (26-17, 8-8 Big Ten). The series gets started tomorrow, Friday, at 6 p.m. and then continues on Saturday (2 p.m.) before the conclusion on Sunday (1 p.m.).

Each game of the series will be streamed live on B1G+ and a link to the live stats will also be available on the schedule page at OhioStateBuckeyes.com. In-game updates will also be available on Ohio State softball's official X account, @OhioStateSB.
This Weekend at Buckeye Field
Friday – Free Kona Ice for the first 100 fans
Saturday – Scarlet Pom giveaway for first 500 fans
Sunday - Poster Giveaway and pregame Senior Day ceremony (starting at approx. 12:40 p.m.). Ohio State will honor three seniors: Kami Kortokrax, Kaitlyn Farley and Morgan Frye.
Talkin' Tickets
Those interested in purchasing single-game tickets can do so here: CLICK HERE. Prices range from $5-$9 before fees. Premier pricing will be in place for a select number of home games this season. Seating at Buckeye Field is general admission. A limited number of student tickets will be available for free at each game with a BuckID on a first come, first serve basis. Children under two years old and younger will be admitted free but must sit on an adult's lap.

Briefly on the Buckeyes
- The Buckeyes' 431 runs (and counting) this season not only lead the conference and country but are also the most in program history. The previous high mark was set at 380 in 2015.
- Kaitlyn Farley's two-run blast in the second inning against Ohio on Tuesday not only etched the Buckeyes into the Big Ten record book, it was also Farley's 11th homer of the year and has her on a six-game hitting streak in which she is batting .500.
- Reagan Milliken's five RBI against Ohio made some history of their own. It was the 19th multiple-RBI game she's had this season, setting a new program record. The previous record was 18, set in 2018 by Lilli Piper.
- Milliken also has 67 RBI on the year, giving her the second most RBIs in a single season in program history. She is just two shy of tying Jasmyn Burns' 69 RBIs, which currently the record. The Milliken-Burns duo account for one-third of Ohio State's RBI total this season.
- Kami Kortokrax's three home runs on Tuesday gave her 202 career hits, good for 14th all-time in program history. Kortokrax is batting .362 this season with 16 home runs, a total that has her tied for seventh in the Big Ten.
- Hadley Parisien has reached base safely in the last nine games. Her 17 home runs are fifth-most in the Big Ten, and her 40 walks rank second.
- Freshman Layna Gerhard, fresh off her seventh win of the season, boasts the lowest ERA in the Buckeye pitching stable (4.20). She is averaging four strikeouts per game in her wins.
A Note on the Seniors
Kami Kortokrax: Has played in and started every game in her career – 202 to be exact – and has a .321 career batting average with 35 home runs, 40 doubles, 133 RBI and 131 runs scored.
Kaitlyn Farley: Senior Day will be Farley's 200th career game played and 194th career start … she is batting a career-best .355 this season with 11 home runs, 39 RBI and a .448 on-base percentage.
Morgan Frye: Came to Ohio State after a four-year career at Berry College … in a law student studying environmental law … has the second-highest batting average on the team (.382) with a .765 slugging percentage.
Scouting the Competition
- Purdue is on a win streak of its own, having taken its last six games, including a three-game sweep of Illinois last weekend.
- The Boilermakers are 26-17 on the year with an 8-8 mark in Big Ten play. Their conference wins include those over Wisconsin, Maryland, Nebraska, Minnesota, and Illinois.
- Three Boilermakers are hitting above .300, contributing to a team average of .299. They are led by Moriah Polar, whose .466 average is eighth best among Big Ten hitters.
- Purdue's defense is allowing an opponent batting average of .237, good for sixth in the conference in that category. Senior Madi Elish and Julia Gosset each have thrown over 90 innings this season. Gossett was the Big Ten's Pitcher of the Week on Monday and threw a one-hit shutout against Miami University on Wednesday.
