Buckeyes improve to 6-0 on the year as Tyack notches gamewinner
COLUMBUS, Ohio – Kate Tyack's fourth goal of the game capped a 10-9 overtime win for the No. 21 Ohio State women's lacrosse team over Cincinnati Friday at Ohio State Lacrosse Stadium.

The Buckeyes are now 6-0, tied with the 2002 team for the best start in school history. Cincinnati is 4-4 on the year.

The Short Story
The Buckeyes scored the game's first four goals and led 4-1 after the first quarter. Cincinnati tallied two of the first three goals in the second quarter but Ohio State tallied twice in the last minute for a 7-3 lead at halftime. A four-goal run for the Bearcats to start the second half tied the game at seven. The Buckeyes pushed ahead at 8:15; Cincinnati tallied twice in the final 1:35 for a 9-8 lead. Ohio State did not allow a goal the rest of the way. Buckeye Kampbell Stone notched the only goal of the fourth quarter to tie the game and Kate Tyack lifted the Buckeyes to the win at 2:03 of overtime.

The Schedule Ahead
- The Buckeyes will head to the west coast for two games next week,
- Big Ten play opens at Oregon at 8 p.m. ET March 12, with the game televised by BTN.
- The squad's last nonconference game will be at 3 p.m. ET at San Diego State March 15.
- Ohio State will return home to host USC at noon March 23, followed by a game vs. Michigan at 6 p.m. March 27.
- Admission and parking are free for all regular season home games in Ohio State Lacrosse Stadium.
- Leah Sax found Kampbell Stone to open the scoring 51 seconds into the game and Kate Tyack pushed the lead to 2-0 at 13:17 with a free position goal.
- Brynn Ammerman and Kampbell Stone scored 2:02 apart – at 7:08 and 5:06 – to double the Buckeye lead.
- Cincinnati notched the last goal of the first quarter (at 3:25) and the first tally of the second (at 10:52) for a 4-2 Buckeye lead.
- Tyack tallied unassisted at 9:57 and UC's Camryn Callaghan answered at 6:04 for a 5-3 game.
- In the final minute, Ohio State scored twice to head into halftime ahead by four (7-3). Ammerman set up Tyack at the side of the cage with 51 seconds left and Maeve Simonds drove and scored herself with 13 seconds remaining.
- A four-goal run by the Bearcats to start the third quarter tied the game at seven. Lexie Wolfe tallied three in a row – at 13:31, 12:48 and 12:12 – and Camryn Callaghan followed at 10:28.
- Annie Hargraves broke the tie for the Buckeyes at 8:15, putting Ohio State in the lead 8-7.
- Lauren Ottensmeyer tallied at 1:35 and :36 for a 9-8 Bearcat lead at the end of the third. Ohio State did not allow a goal the rest of the way.
- The only goal in the fourth quarter was a free position shot from Stone at 5:03 that deadlocked the score at nine.
- Cincinnati started overtime with the ball while player-up but the Buckeye defense held strong.
- Tyack notched the winner at 2:03, coming around the corner and converting an overhand shot.
- The Buckeyes had 24 shots in the game and limited Cincinnati to 14, including just one in the fourth quarter and overtime.
- Ohio State had the edge in draw controls, 13-8, and the Bearcats had more ground balls, 14-11.
- Freshman Abby Boyle had a team-high and career-best five draw controls. Emily Magalotti had three ground balls to lead the Buckeyes and Ella Wright and Jocelyn Torres each had two.
- The Buckeyes had 12 caused turnovers. Magalotti had three, Katie Kaucheck had two and seven other Buckeyes had one.
- Tyack had her third four-goal game of the season and she has 16 goals in the last five games combined. She has 12 multiple-goal games as a Buckeye and leads the squad with 16 goals this season.
- Ammerman is on a nine-game point streak (10g, 24a, 34p). Ammerman has a Buckeye-best 19 assists and 26 points this season.
- Stone recorded her second hat trick of the season and the third of her career. She has 11 goals this year, tying Zoe Coleman for second on the team.
- Sherman has a team-high 10 caused turnovers. Magalotti is first with 15 draw controls, followed by Boyle with 14. Audrey Schoemer leads the team with 12 ground balls.
- Buckeye goalie Jocelyn Torres has a 6.05 goals-against average and .568 save percentage on the year.
