Buckeyes now 7-0 on the year
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 20 Ohio State women's lacrosse team opened the Big Ten Conference slate with a dominant 20-6 win at Oregon Thursday in Eugene, Ore. The Buckeyes led 6-3 at the end of the first quarter and 12-4 at the half. Ohio State shut out the Ducks in the third quarter to stretch the lead to 15-4 through three quarters en route to the victory.

The Buckeyes are now 7-0, the best start in school history, passing the 6-0 mark set by the 2002 team. Oregon, playing its first B1G women's lacrosse game, is 5-3.

- Kampbell Stone and Kate Tyack both scored hat tricks in the first half for a 6-3 Buckeye lead. Brynn Ammerman set up all three Tyack tallies in the stanza.
- Stone opened the scoring at 13:31, followed by a Tyack tally at 10:55.
- After an Oregon free position goal at 9:53, Stone and Tyack scored in less than a minute for a 4-1 lead.
- A Duck goal on an eight-meter chance at 6:19 was again answered by goals from Tyack and Stone. Stone's second and third goals were both free position tallies. Oregon's Gabby Santucci notched the last goal of the opening quarter at 2:38.
- Ohio State scored six goals to start the second quarter, shutting out the Ducks until just four seconds were left in the stanza.
- Tyack put the Buckeyes up 7-3 at 11:18, assisted by Ammerman, and Makena Harrington drove the cage for a goal at 10:32.
