Buckeyes enter play this week 20-3 in their last 23 games
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State softball team – winners of seven consecutive games and 20 of its last 23 games – will play its final two home midweek games on Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively, against Purdue Fort Wayne and Akron. First pitch on each day is slated for 5 p.m.

Briefly on the Buckeyes
• Ohio State enters play this week with a 25-6-1 overall record and 4-1 mark in Big Ten play. The Buckeyes were ranked No. 25 in both the NFCA and ESPN/USA Softball polls; this week's poll will be released on Tuesday.
• The Buckeyes possess one of the nation's most potent offenses. They currently lead the Big Ten in home runs (71), doubles (68), slugging percentage (.713) and runs scored (278). Entering play last week, Ohio State was third nationally in home runs and third in doubles.
• Last weekend at Michigan State, Ohio State scored 48 runs in three games. On Sunday, it matched its single-game school record with 24 runs scored.
• The Buckeyes are just four home runs shy of matching its single-season school record (75 in 2015). They're currently averaging 2.2 home runs per game and 8.7 runs per game.
• Every player who has started 20 or more games in batting .330 or better. Jasmyn Burns (.467) and Morgan Frye (.429) lead the way.
