
Bertrand and Brann Named to the Big Ten Outdoor Watchlist

Leah Bertrand and Braxton Brann were listed on the Big Ten outdoor season watchlist on Thursday.
COLUMBUS, Ohio – Leah Bertrand and Braxton Brann represent the Buckeyes on the Big Ten's outdoor preseason watchlist. The Big Ten Conference announced the list on Thursday afternoon.
In the 2024 outdoor season, Bertrand recorded two wins, one at the Big Ten Outdoor Championships (100m, 11.16) and the other at the Jesse Owens Memorial Classic (200m, 23.57). Her 100m Big Ten time served as the 22nd nationally ranked performance (TFRRS). Also at Big Ten's, she ran a leg on the 19th ranked 4x100 relay, recording a time of 43.44 seconds. Bertrand claimed seven of the top 10 fastest female 100m times for the Buckeyes, with her fastest time being 11.09 seconds in the NCAA Regionals. Her honors included Big Ten Champion (4x100m relay, 100m), All-Big Ten First Team, All-American First Team and All-American Second Team.
Brann won two individual events last year as well, one being in the 110m hurdles (Gamecock Invitational, 13.96) and his second occurring at the Jesse Owens Classic (200m, 21.08). He also ran a leg on a winning 4x100m relay team at the Jesse Owens Classic, which finished in 40.30 seconds. Brann had the top six fastest 110m hurdles for Buckeye men with his personal best of 13.69 seconds taking place in the NCAA Regionals. He also ran a leg on four of the five fastest 4x100 relays for the Buckeyes, with the fastest overall time being 39.88 seconds (96th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays, second place).
