The Buckeyes have won each of the last four matches by 3-0 scores. Â Â

Against the Royals Saturday, Ohio State won by scores of 25-23, 25-15, 25-20.

The Buckeyes were led in kills by Stanislaw Chacinski with 12 and Shane Wetzel with 10.
Wetzel also had five digs and a team best four blocks.
Freshman setter Daniel Henwood Rodriguez led both squads with 31 assists.
Set 1 (OSU, 25-23)
Neither team was able to gain command through the early going. The Buckeyes used a 5-1 run ending with a Stanislaw Chacinski ace and Queens error for an 11-7 lead. The Royals closed the gap to 12-11 Ohio State on consecutive kills. An Ohio State error made it 13-all before a Cole Young kill from the middle and a Queens error put the Buckeyes back on top at the media timeout, 15-13. The Royals tied it again at 15-all and then took the lead on a 3-0 run after the break. A Chacinski kill and an ace by Young reclaimed the lead for the Buckeyes. The teams alternated points until kills by Aaron Grimm and Shane Wetzel put the Buckeyes up 20-18. Queens used its first timeout but the Buckeyes maintained its advantage the rest of the way in a 25-23. Chacinski, who got the set-winning kill, led both teams with five kills in the opener.Â

Set 2 (OSU, 25-15)
A Daniel Henwood Rodriguez ace and Chacinski cross-court kill put the Buckeyes up 5-1. The Buckeye block (Wetzel/Young) upped the lead to 7-2 Ohio State. A DHR kill, Queens error and Kyle Teune ace led to a Royals timeout with Ohio State leading 12-5. After the Queens timeout, the Buckeyes used a 5-1 run to increase the lead to 17-7. A Young ace upped the lead to 21-9. Kills by Teune and Grimm made it 23-11 Buckeyes. The bout reached set point on a Queens service error. After a short rally by the Royals, Ohio State got the win on a Wetzel kill, 25-15.

Set 3 (OSU, 25-20)
At 10-all, neither team was able to string together a run. The back-and-fourth affair continued until kills by Chacinski around an Ohio State block (Grimm, Chacinski, Wetzel) put Ohio State up 14-11. Ohio State led 15-12 at the media timeout after a Wetzel kill. Chacinski delivered an ace after the break and then set Wetzel for a kill to make it 17-12 Buckeyes. Queens called timeout after a Grimm kill with Ohio State leading 18-12. Teune delivered a rocket from the left side to make it 19-13. Queens cut into the lead with a 4-1 run to make it 20-17. Wetzel went cross court from the back row for a 23-20 lead. Queens took its final timeout at match point after a Royals error made it 24-20 Buckeyes. Ohio State then got the win on a Queens error, 25-20.
