The Basics
- The Ohio State women's lacrosse team hits the road to play at Robert Morris Saturday. The squads will face off at 11 a.m. ET in Moon Township, Pa.

- Robert Morris is 1-4 this year, with a win over Duquesne to kick off the campaign before losses to Cincinnati, Lafayette, George Washington and Mount St. Mary's.
- Ohio State topped Akron 13-4 Wednesday in Ohio State Lacrosse Stadium.
- Two weather delays pushed the start of the game back by nearly 90 minutes. When play got underway, Ohio State took control quickly, scoring twice in the first three minutes and ending the first quarter ahead 5-3. The Buckeyes tallied the first two goals of the second quarter for a 7-3 lead. Akron notched a goal at 4:18, which stood as its last goal of the day. The Buckeyes carried an 8-4 lead into halftime and scored the only goal of the third for a 9-4 advantage. Four Ohio State goals in the last quarter made the final score 13-4.
- The Buckeyes limited the Zips to 19 shots for the game.
- Brynn Ammerman had a hat trick, seven assists and 10 points for the Buckeyes against Akron, tying for fourth in program history for single game assists and points.
- She was one shy of the program records of 11 points and eight assists, both set three times before. It was the first 10-point game since Liza Hernandez against Detroit Mercy Feb. 10, 2019.
- The last seven-assist day was by Jennifer Porretto against Canisius March 14, 2015. Ammerman's seven points in the first half tied for sixth in school history and were the most since Hernandez had eight in the game vs. Detroit.
- Ammerman is on a seven-game point streak (8g, 19a, 27p). She has two or more assists in each game this year and leads the squad with 14, ranking sixth in the NCAA and first in the B1G with 3.5 per game. Ammerman has six games with five or more points as a Buckeye and 13 multiple-assist outings. Last season, she led the Buckeyes with 28 assists.
- In the national polls this week, Ohio State is No. 20 in the IWLCA coaches poll and the IL Women media poll and No. 19 in the USA Lacrosse rankings.
- The Buckeyes are fifth nationally in scoring defense, allowing 5.75 goals per game. Katie Kaucheck, Ella Wright, Lilli Herman and Audrey Schoemer have all started the first four games on defense.
- Sherman has a team-high six caused turnovers. Schoemer is first on the team with nine ground balls, followed by Kampbell Stone with eight.
- Goalie Jocelyn Torres has 40 saves, with just 23 goals allowed, through her first four games as a Buckeye. She ranks second nationally in save percentage (.635) and is fourth in goals-against average (5.83), ranking 16th in saves per game (10.00).
- Zoe Coleman has a point in each of her last 10 games (17g, 20p) and a goal in six straight, with 13 goals in the stretch. She had a career-high four goals in the season opener and scored once at Louisville, with two goals at Vanderbilt and a hat trick vs. Akron. Coleman has notched 39 goals in her 38-game career, adding 19 assists for 58 points.
- Kate Tyack has 10 goals in her last three games after a hat trick vs. Akron. Tyack has 10 games with two or more goals through her first 21 collegiate games and has 43 points, with 35 goals and eight assists, as a Buckeye.
- Tyack and Coleman lead the Buckeyes with 10 goals each.
- Stone tallied twice against Akron and has at least one goal in each game on the year, totaling seven tallies this season.
- Against Akron, Emily Magalotti notched her first goal of the year vs. the Zips and Maddie Barhorst scored for the first time since 2023. Magalotti is first for the Buckeyes with 11 draw controls.
- The Buckeyes rank eighth nationally in clearing percentage (.929).
